the neon superkid club

We’re curate  events and activities  that bring the community together. This name represents our energy, our attitude, and the culture we stand for. It’s more than just a title; it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re headed.

NEON: All things vintage and retro—the styles and sounds that shaped our youth and stayed with us. They remind us where we came from and why we continue to create spaces that celebrate shared culture and nostalgia.

SUPERKID: That’s me — DJ superkid. But it’s bigger than one person. It represents everyone who stays young at heart, who finds joy in music, culture, and connection. It’s about holding onto that sense of wonder, no matter where life takes you. We are all Superkids.

CLUB: Community means everything to us. It’s who we are, what we stand for, and what pushes us forward. We create spaces where people come together, connect, and feel part of something bigger.

daylight disco
dance parties

Daylight Disco Dance Parties are made for those of us who never stopped loving the dancefloor—only the schedule changed. This is a celebration of the nights that shaped us, when we danced until 4am, stumbled out of clubs soaked in sweat, feet aching, ears ringing, and hearts full. Those moments when the music felt endless and tomorrow didn’t matter.

Now, Gen Xers and Millennials are older, maybe a little wiser, but the urge to dance is still very much alive in us. We’re not ready to hang up our dancing shoes—we just prefer to be home before midnight. Daylight Disco Dance Parties are about reclaiming that joy, energy, and freedom of going out, without the late-night recovery.

These parties bring that experience, just earlier, creating a space where you can let loose, move freely, and connect with the music and the crowd—while still having the rest of your night (and next morning) intact. Expect a feel-good, inclusive atmosphere where dancing is encouraged, nostalgia runs deep, and the vibes are high from start to finish.

The soundtrack spans decades, from iconic ’80s and ’90s hits to Indie and Alternative favourites, alongside timeless party anthems that never fail to fill the dancefloor. Every set is designed to spark memories, keep bodies moving into pure dancefloor magic.

Daylight Disco Dance Parties prove that the party doesn’t have to end—it just starts earlier. Come dance the “night” away, relive the best moments, and leave glowing, energized, and ready for whatever comes next

eadj music events

With an enduring passion for music that has been the driving force throughout her life, she found herself immediately drawn to Saigon’s burgeoning creative energy. What began as a personal pursuit of sound and community quickly evolved into a full-fledged career — she started DJing, curating music lineups, promoting international acts, and organizing events that brought people together.

Her distinctive taste and vision soon made her a central figure in the rise of Saigon’s underground music scene. At a time when the city’s nightlife was still finding its identity, she introduced a new wave of sound rarely heard in local clubs. By inviting acclaimed international artists such as Bottin, Rodion, Trus’me, and Voodoo Frank, she helped connect Saigon to a global network of musicians and audiences, elevating the city’s reputation as a destination for underground culture.

Her pioneering efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Her parties were spotlighted in the Lonely Planet Guide to Vietnam and Southeast Asia as one of the “hippest club nights in Ho Chi Minh City,” a recognition that reflected both the authenticity and creative spark of her events. More than just parties, these gatherings became cultural spaces — hubs where artists, designers, and free spirits converged to share ideas, collaborate, and push boundaries.

Deeply committed to nurturing Saigon’s creative ecosystem, she continues to champion collaboration across disciplines. Many of those who performed at her early events have since become influential figures in their fields — including celebrated Visual Effects Designer Crazy Monkey — illustrating her lasting impact on the next generation of DJs, Promoters, and Creative Innovators who continue to define the sound and spirit of Saigon today.

saigon urban arts

The Saigon Urban Arts 2021 (SUA 2021) project was a ground-breaking international collaboration co-organized by the French Institute in Vietnam and the Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City, under the Franco-German Fund, with support from the Consulate General of Switzerland and Pro Helvetia.

This initiative was designed to foster cross-cultural dialogue and creative exchange between French, German, Swiss, and Vietnamese artists, curators, and cultural institutions. Through a series of artistic and educational activities, the project provided a vibrant platform for participants to explore how urban art can reflect and inspire social change.

As the Creative Director, we coordinated efforts among all international and local partners to bring the project to life. The program included a large-scale urban art festival, public art installations, and a series of interactive workshops and symposium discussions that encouraged creative experimentation and cultural exchange.

One of the project’s key highlights was the creation of monumental murals across public spaces in Ho Chi Minh City, transforming walls into canvases for dialogue on sustainability, urban identity, and community engagement.

SUA 2021 not only celebrated artistic collaboration but also emphasized the role of street art as a powerful medium to raise awareness about sustainable development goals and the shared responsibility of shaping more inclusive and resilient cities.

Gamelab

GameLab is an innovative initiative designed to spark curiosity and enthusiasm for science among young Vietnamese audiences through the creative world of gaming. By combining education, technology, and play, the project shows that science can be both engaging and accessible.

Throughout its run, GameLab organized a series of online and offline activities that connected students, gamers, and science enthusiasts nationwide. Highlights included interactive workshops, social media campaigns, and eye-catching booths at the youth union technology festival, where visitors explored hands-on gaming experiences showcasing the link between science and technology.

To expand its reach, the project also hosted a press conference introducing its goals, partners, and upcoming events, attracting attention from local media and the tech community.

The centerpiece was the 48-hour game jam, an exciting challenge where teams of scientists and game developers worked side by side to create original science-themed games. Over two days, participants brainstormed, coded, designed, and tested their projects—transforming complex scientific ideas into fun, educational gameplay experiences.

Through these activities, GameLab successfully bridged the gap between science and entertainment, inspiring a new generation of young innovators and scientific thinkers.

vietnam now festival

Vietnam Now Festival (VNF) was created to shift global perceptions of Vietnam — moving beyond images of the war, bánh mì, phở, and conical hats — to showcase the country’s vibrant creativity and the innovation of its global diaspora.

The festival celebrates a new generation of Vietnamese artists and cultural leaders who are redefining identity and pushing boundaries across art, music, and design. VNF provides a global platform for these voices to connect, collaborate, and share their work, while fostering community and opportunity within the Vietnamese and diasporic creative scenes.

In an era of rising Anti-Asian sentiment and growing demand for authentic representation, VNF serves as a space for unity and empowerment — where Vietnamese creativity can thrive and be seen.

Founded in 2017 as a collaboration between Hidden Saigon, Saigon Supersound, La Cantine du 56, and Songs from Southeast Asia, the first two self-funded events took place in London and Paris. Since then, Hidden Saigon has led two more successful editions in Calgary, Canada (2022 & 2023), each co-created with local artists and communities.

Each festival features a diverse program of photography, film, music, visual art, and food, alongside artist talks and screenings of Vietnamese films — from experimental works to documentaries exploring LGBTQI+ and transgender stories — all contributing to a richer and more inclusive portrait of modern Vietnamese identity.

asian food channel

As the Marketing Manager at Thaole Entertainment, i led the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of a series of high-profile events for the Asian Food Channel (AFC), one of Asia’s leading lifestyle networks.

This included overseeing nationwide promotional tours for renowned celebrity chefs Martin Yan and Anna Olson, organized to celebrate and promote the launch of their new television series. Each tour combined press conferences, live cooking demonstrations, and exclusive meet-and-greet sessions, engaging both media and fans across multiple cities in vietnam.

To ensure maximum impact and visibility, I developed and implemented comprehensive 360° marketing campaigns that integrated digital engagement, print media partnerships, and experiential on-ground activations. From concept to completion, every element was carefully curated to strengthen afc’s brand presence, foster audience connection, and generate significant media buzz around its culinary programming.

"Martin Yan's asian favorites"
promotional tour

To promote "Martin Yan’s Asian Favorites", we organized an energetic and high-impact promotional tour that brought the world-renowned celebrity chef to vietnam. The campaign began with an exclusive press conference and live cooking demonstration for leading vietnamese media outlets, where chef yan showcased his signature culinary flair and humor. The event attracted extensive press coverage across television, print, and digital platforms, successfully building anticipation and excitement for the series launch.

The momentum continued with a lively, full-day public event at Crescent Mall that transformed the venue into a bustling culinary festival. Thousands of fans gathered to witness the celebrated chef in action as he entertained the audience with his quick wit and exceptional knife skills during a live cooking show.

The day also featured interactive cooking competitions where participants had the chance to recreate Chef Yan’s iconic dishes, fun audience games, and branded giveaways. The combination of entertainment, education, and engagement made the tour an unforgettable celebration of Asian cuisine and a powerful brand experience for attendees.

"Inspired by Anna Olson"
promotional tour

The tour featured a heartfelt and inspirational talk for at-risk youth enrolled in Koto’s social enterprise program, where Anna shared her personal journey, professional insights, and words of encouragement about pursuing one’s passion through perseverance and purpose. She spoke candidly about her experiences in the culinary world, inspiring the young participants to see food as both a creative outlet and a path toward empowerment.

In addition to the talk, Anna hosted an exclusive cooking masterclass for a handpicked group of Vietnamese media representatives and distinguished guests. The session offered a rare opportunity for attendees to learn directly from her as she demonstrated signature techniques, shared practical cooking tips, and revealed behind-the-scenes stories from her television career.

Among the special guests were MasterChef U.S. winner Christine Ha and celebrity chef Jack Lee,  whose presence made the event even more memorable. Together, they celebrated culinary creativity, cultural exchange, and the unifying power of food.

more than love on the horizon

Genevieve Erin O’brien, a Vietnamese-American artist, created the multimedia project “More Than Love on the Horizon”, with Linh Phan serving as the Hanoi Project Producer and Graphic Designer.

The project sought to amplify the visibility and voices of Vietnam’s LGBTQI+ community through a series of interactive workshops, holographic video installations, an online storytelling platform, community micro-grants, and a public exhibition.

Participants explored themes of identity, love, and social inclusion, using art and technology as tools for expression and dialogue.

Funded by the American Arts Incubator (AAI) and implemented in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam and Nha San Collective in Hanoi, the initiative was part of AAI’s International Creative Exchange Program—developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and managed by Zero1.

The culmination of “More Than Love on the Horizon” was a public exhibition showcasing the diverse range of works produced during the workshops—each reflecting the personal stories and aspirations of the participants. The event was attended by members of the local art community, activists, and diplomats, with the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Ted Osius, participating as a special guest. His presence underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy and artistic collaboration as tools for social understanding and empowerment.

Through this initiative, “More Than Love on the Horizon” not only celebrated creativity and diversity but also contributed to the ongoing conversation around equality and representation in Vietnam, leaving a lasting impact on both its participants and audiences.

All set photographs were kindly shot and post-produced by Yen Nguyen for the project.
